Amenities for the 15-acre neighborhood park include walking paths, splash pad, nature play, playground, zip-line, exercise equipment, foosball, table tennis, corn hole, pickle ball courts, open grass and a slot canyon. The park elements are based on a “natural” theme with many of the elements resembling rocks, caves, fallen tree logs or Ocotillo slat canopies. The park was named Cougar Creek Park through a competition at the elementary school across the street. The corner of the park nearest the elementary school features an outdoor classroom. The archaeological dig area helps teach about the early settlers of the region.
