With 2008 officially passed, we recall all the changes we have experienced here at Southwick LA. We have been able to maintain our staff of 12. Three are licensed landscape architects, three have their LAIT, one may soon be licensed, one was married and one had a baby.
Cassi and her family welcomed Zachary Ryan on December 11, 2008. Both mother and child are happy and healthy. We anxiously await Cassi’s return to the office at the end of February.
The last few months of the year always carry a few exciting events. We attended the annual Pink Flamingo Banquet at the Springs Preserve. It was a great event as always. Our Holiday Party was held at Steak in Henderson where we had our first Southwick LA employee awards.

And who could forget the monumental snow fall we experienced this year? It was amazing to see and treacherous to experience. Some of us were able to walk over to Ethel M’s and check out the snow on the plants there. It was a rare and beautiful sight!
The end of the 4th Quarter always brings the beginning of a new year. We are looking forward to 2009 with great anticipation. Lorenzi Park Phase I will be complete in May, Sunset Park Phase I will begin construction shortly, St. Rose Trail and Reunion Trails Park are both shaping up to be very exciting projects. These and other projects will keep us designing this year.
